“The Safety 101 Training is designed to equip professionals and caregivers with the skills and knowledge needed to prevent crisis and handle critical situations effectively. The training focuses on understanding the unique needs and challenges of individuals with developmental disabilities during emergencies as well as the importance of preparing for these emergencies before they occur. Participants learn about communication strategies to overcome potential barriers, create personalized emergency plans tailored to their loved one’s specific needs, and practice practical techniques to ensure safety and security.
