Sensitive Santa

We are excited to announce our new partnership with the City of Surprise Parks and Recreation Department. This is the Autism Society of Greater Phoenix’s 9th Annual Sensitive Santa Experience for those with Special Needs and our 17th event! This event provides a supportive environment eliminating long lines, bright lights and loud noises that can trigger sensory sensitivities for someone on the spectrum.

Join us on Saturday, December 10th, 2022 at the Surprise Stadium from 9am – 4pm to experience this amazing event. While families wait to visit with the Holiday Icon, they will be able to chat with vendors, experience games and crafts, partake in snacks and goodies, all of which leads up to a photo opportunity during a private one on one visit with Santa.

What is Sensitive Santa?

Our Sensory Inspired Santa Experience for Kids with Autism and with other disabilities provides a supportive environment which eliminates bright lights and loud noises that can trigger sensory sensitivities. Each child taking their picture with Santa receives one on one time with the holiday icon in a private area that is modestly decorated. Parents have expectations about different key events in their lives that they want to share with their children. Just because a child is on the Autism Spectrum doesn’t mean they should be denied this experience. We are hoping to make this a unique and memorable experience for the entire family.
